Budget

Unless you are a member of the Forbes 400, a very important factor in designing a home is the budget. Experience has shown us that the most successful design ventures begin with a firm idea of a projected cost. If you begin designing your home without a realistic budget, or limits, you could end up with a set of plans where the estimated costs come in well over your expectations. (Incidentally, I’ve never seen an estimate come in under a client’s expectations.) I have seen, though, many plans over-designed at the expense and time of the client, resulting in anger and frustration with the architects who designed them and the builders who bid them. Our design/build program has been very successful in avoiding this by allowing us to design and build your home with as many amenities, features and space that are within your expected budget.
